The French owned island La Réunion has earned a reputation as being one of
the most perfect islands for diving, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and
paragliding. Even surfers hold a world champion event here once a year, as
the edge of the reefs along the west coast creates waves nearly as good as
those on Hawaii.
It is this reef, full of caves and nooks that offer a diver the possibility to
explore a fascinating world of Corals and marine life. Experienced divers can
explore the 71 m deep vertical wall on the Pointe au Sel, or the
Boucan Canot area, where many a shipwreck lies.
