Hotel Acajou
Some of the most wonderful beaches in Seychelles are on the island of Praslin.
The Hotel Acajou, named after this beautiful, precious hardwood, stands
directly on one of them. The family-owned complex is personally supervised
by Joanise Doway.
Rooms/Accommodation:
Only natural materials such as mahogany were used to design the 28 rooms,
giving them a tropical flair. The well-furnished, spacious rooms are in
two wings of the building and surrounded by luxuriant Takamaka and Casuarina
trees. Each room has a bath and shower. Standard conveniences include
air-conditioning, TV, ISDN-telephone, radio and mini-bar. In addition,
4 Superior Rooms at the very front of the hotel provide individual safes,
tea and coffee making facilities as well. The hotel-pool invites one to
relax and the beach-bar stocks refreshing accompanying drinks.
Gourmets will be delighted with the exquisite delicacies that are featured
on the hotel's restaurant-menu. The cocktail lounge entices with tropical
delights in the evening and the bar with a choice of classical drinks.
Activities:
A diving centre that can be used for a fee is located very near to the
hotel-complex. The hotel makes bookings there on request. Bicycles may be hired
nearby to explore the island as you wish and you should not miss out on an outing
to the beautiful Coco-de-Mer Valley. An elegant gambling-casino in which
you can try your luck is within walking distance from the Hotel Acajou.
You can also experience the variety of life on the neighbouring island of
La Digue. The landing-stage for the boats to the island is just ten minutes
away by taxi. Entertainment:
The evening program features light entertainment.
